LEGO builds for Adults

Mint, we must be similar age. I was schooled on those sets as well.
I think that one was one of my first proper sets - if not the first. I've still got it down me mam's in the same old dark red biscuit tin, along with a few other Robin hood/knights bits and pieces. I remember I had some extra forest men and knights, a catapult with a couple of knights, and a knight with a horse and cart with weapons in the back. They'll all still be there.

Cheers, not sure I can be arsed to rebuild it again. It’s holding together currently but I can hear bits rattling around inside. Presumably those little blue bits.

Just wanna get it done now. Got my next build awaiting. . I love a castle 🏰

Looks like an upgrade on the original I was given when I was 6. Still got it all, although have had to replace some parts that went walkabout over the years.

I’ve still got this one at my mams, boxed with instructions. She let my kids play with it one day when she was babysitting them. I was furious 😀

Doing the Dune ornithopter. It’s an absolutely brilliant build. Superbly put together, the internal technic bits and bobs just great fun. Slowed right down cos I don’t want it to end.

I had the Kings Castle set. It was my favourite set along with the pirate ship (1989 set 6285). Saw the pirate ship at a brick fair and it was going for c.£400 in original box. I also had a space monorail set which I don't know what my parents done with it (set 6990) it goes for silly money now.

It's a beauty black bricks is the updated version and still pulls a decent fee. I am sure all of mine went to cousins from my parents house and probably charity shopped at some point. Devastated

Old school, the sectioning of bags makes it easier. I rebuilt many Star Wars stuff second time around with just the booklet and a box full of all the pieces.
It used to take forever raking through the git wass pile of multiple sets like. Especially when bulding Technic and ya needed all the little bits n pieces. No highlighted pieces on the instructions either to see where everything's going.

The old System instructions never used to list the pieces needed for each step either.

Aye, this was me in the 80's, had a huge bucket of Lego and tatty instructions (Not booklets back then, just folded sheets), use to take up almost all of the dining room floor space just to do a medium size build. That said, once you had built them up and broken them down a few times, I just made my own stuff up off top of my head.
