LEGO builds for Adults

The leaked Balrog looks canny. Makes me want a book case to put me Tolkien on.

Can't believe the cost of Lego these days.

It's no longer for kids.
I think it depends what it is.

The adult sets are obviously marketed to adults.

Most of the playable sets don't seem too bad. But you wouldn't be buying a UCS Falcon for a bairn to play with.

That said, £120 for the dark falcon is a bit excessive.

Think I'm going to sell all the bairns Lego as it was only ever an ornament that he barely played with. The sets have been partly dismantled and have just been sitting in a plastic tub for years.
Probably just do a bulk buy / job lot to get shot soon.
He just has 0 interest in it now 😞

Keep it for any potential grand-children.

Got the boxes etc? Might make a bit more selling separately if there's sought after retired sets in there.

Might be worth your while building them back up to make sure you have all the parts and then selling sets separately rather than a job lot

And I’ve just seen the new space shuttle enterprise with NASA Boeing plane. Looks absolutely class

Was that in the raffle? Well done! My son was one of the displayers and the new venue was a lot better than previous years.
Aye. It’s a non Lego version. Like this one

It was a great day out. The boys loved it. I loved it too to be honest. The displays were great.

Big thanks to the venerable Mrs MB for sorting things out.

I saw that at the raffle table and it was a set I didnt recognise. Edinbrick has grown from a tiny venue that expected 3-400 visitors to the main hall at Meadowbank with 5000 tickets sold over 2 days. The organisers do an amazing job and put other events on through the central belt in Scotland. The one at Summerlee museum in Ocotober is smaller but a fantastic venue too.

Glad you enjoyed your day out and if you follow BrickM8 on social media, you can see what other events they put on.
