Legends Way fan vote: choose the 14 legends

Gabbiadini is my all time favourite Sunderland player.
And I guarantee 1000’s of other supporters would say the same. (They’ll currently be aged somewhere between 45 - 55)

Whilst Bennett definitely deserves to be there. I’d also bet he won’t be 1000’s of fans favourite all time player.
Nor many others on the list.

I think you’re forgetting/underestimating just how adored Marco was in his time here.

Given Bob Murray is on the list, I guess players' off the field contribution has been taken into account too. For that reason I think Bennett and Quinn makes my cut.

They will for political correctioness. Can't imagine many people picking them over the men players.

On reflection I think you are right. It’s probably because only one season was in the top league that undermines his status

I knar there’s a heavy amount of recency bias here, but can we not nut Luke O’Nein on the list?

John Kay was my suggestion for additional choices but Julio is a glaring omission too.
