Wouldn’t say it’s a requirement at all mind.We we haven’t f***ing got any, you’ve just got to look at the relegated clubs last season to see that it’s a requirement.

Don't most decent midfields have the more basic player. He played it well when Bruno, Joe and Longstaff pretty much got us into the CL.He reckons all he does is sit back, break up play and then play simple billy basic passes as that's all he has and if that's what Leeds are after, he's their man.
I would, which clubs out of the 20 most seasons have the least premier league experience in their squads?Wouldn’t say it’s a requirement at all mind.
One of those players who can do a job surrounded by good players but don’t think he’s suited to being the main man in a lesser team. Man Utd had loads of those types during the Fergie years, half of them ended up playing for us.
My point being more than a fair few regard experience as a necessity for the Premier League which I personally think is a load of bollocksI don’t think I’ve read anyone on here describe him as mint. And a component premier league player is a good signing for a newly promoted side.
He's bang average IMO
I agreeYeh, good signing.
He is a proven Premier League player.
Canny player in my opinion!
Experience of performing at the level and demonstrating a capacity to cope there is pretty important. Not many sides do well there without it.My point being more than a fair few regard experience as a necessity for the Premier League which I personally think is a load of bollocks
The three that come up, but I’d say the three that come up have the least quality. That’s where the difference is. Not experience.I would, which clubs out of the 20 most seasons have the least premier league experience in their squads?
Well that’s 2 clubs who’ve bucked the trend in the last 6 years. The three that come up, but I’d say the three that come up have the least quality. That’s where the difference is. Not experience.
Likes of Brighton (constantly mid table since promotion) & Brentford (same) didn’t litter their squad with premier league experience at all. They recruited well from overseas. That’s the model that we are seemingly following like it or not.

Not much premier league experience there at all (it’s their first transfer window after promotion for reference).
Thankfully it’s the 2 clubs who’s model we’re looking to follow.Well that’s 2 clubs who’ve bucked the trend in the last 6 years.
More than just the Premier League though, some people seem to think other leagues don’t countExperience of performing at the level and demonstrating a capacity to cope there is pretty important. Not many sides do well there without it.
While I hope the above is correct can we be at least aware we’re buying young lads who’ve never kicked a ball in the UK… versus a lad who’s been pretty regular for a top half premier side over a good few years.Going from Diarra to Sadiki to Longstaff is quite the downgrade. There's definitely worse midfielders in this league but it's some downgrade
You’d have to be very wary of a squad completely made up of foreign players without any prem experience in there, a mixture of both would be a different story.More than just the Premier League though, some people seem to think other leagues don’t count
Utter bullshit.Don't most decent midfields have the more basic player. He played it well when Bruno, Joe and Longstaff pretty much got us into the CL.
I agree apart from the regular bit. He played a lot when Tonali was banned. He played when the mags had injuries. He's never been a first choice. While I hope the above is correct can we be at least aware we’re buying young lads who’ve never kicked a ball in the UK… versus a lad who’s been pretty regular for a top half premier side over a good few years.
Aye, Longstaff or Tonali?Utter bullshit.
Last season minutes wise he played the equivalent of 9 games out 38 in the Premier League.
