Sounds like a massive improvement on Parkinson.
Never been impressed by Lee or Gary Johnson.
I guess it’s all down to performances on the pitch but would be concerned that he won’t be respected by the players.
His interviews are often a little bizarre.
Most of Lansdown's cash has gone on the ground and the rugby. Their transfer business has been largely self-financed.
f***ing hell, don't forget to take a breath whilst you're spewing all that out
well that's nonsense as we've got out of it many times, mostly recently without any effort at all
According to Bristol City fan Fordy62 Johnson was allowed to spend millions and millions on a lot of dross. Fordy62 was very annoyed that Cotterill had been allowed to spend nothing and was sacked four months after taking City to the League One title. In came Johnson and the chequebook was suddenly wide open. Clearly Lansdown's friendship with Johnsons Snr. and Jr. was one reason he kept his job so long despite his decidedly mediocre record.
In 2016/7 (Johnson's first full season), they spent about £12.5m, mainly paid for by the selling of Kodija to Villa. 2017/18 £7m. 2018/19 £2.5m. 2019/20 £8m. Hardly last of the big spenders territory. Source: Wikipedia.
They spent about 8 million on Tomas Kalas alone last season so I'm not sure if that's right
Wiki has that as undisclosed.
They also brought in £43m in fees that season. If Johnson has had money to spend, it hasn't been Steve Lansdown's.
A win ratio worse than Parkinson.
Im usually a happy clapper but this is a shocking appointment if true.
Whose lee Johnson...? Who is..

As recently as January they were splashing the cash on Nahki Wells from Burnley. Wells had been on loan at QPR and Warburton had been desperate to sign him but he had to admit they couldn't compete with Bristol City's spending power.
They brought in £43m in that season. Lansdown has not given him the money - it's come from incoming fees. Cotterill got nowt because nowt came in. Lansdown is as much as sugar daddy owner as Mike Ashley.
Not in the last decade we haven't, since riches have filtered down from SKY and there are now many billionaire owners in the Championship. When The Irish took us over, there was no real competition financially.Wolves , Bournemouth and The Mags had massive wage bills and spent millions.
Though I suspect you were being a wee bit facetious, I'd imagine Royston Keane and his players would be slightly despondent to hear they put hardly any effort in. ....and Mick Mac. Great management at that level from the pair of them.
Parkinson has had promotions, Johnson has been managing over seven years and not had one. Not even a f***ing playoff finish
Fuck Phil Parkinson mate. Nothing should be compared to him. Woeful manager, woeful appointment. Nothing else even comes close to it.
Streaky lee
Which divisions have they been in mostly?
