Leccy cars

We have the MG4 Trophy Long Range, had it about a month. We were getting to the point where we were needing two cars more and more so thought fuck it take the plunge. Got it on a salary sacrifice scheme at work via Octopus EV. They have just installed an OHME charger for us for nowt as part of the scheme and we are now swapping to Intelligent Octopus. Plus they are hoying 4000 free miles of credit on me account. The car has been spot on, getting canny range - it shows 300 miles at 100% but I know it won't get that - round about 250 probably and that's what I am experiencing after the first 500 miles or so. Ran it from SW London up to Chipping Norton (went to Clarkson's farm shop) Stow and Burford and back the other week and did it on one charge (it was at 95%) and still had about 17% left when I got home - well over 200 miles. Their electroverse network is canny too. Charge via that when you need to use a public charger and they take it off your leccy bill- get a discount with some chargers too over their normal rates. As I am in a lot of credit on me leccy account its a no brainer.
The wife loves it after being sceptical initially. I would say these kind of vehicles are really good for wifeys driving as there is less for them to have to think about:cool:
Its a sooped up milk float.

If half the population have no car & other half have 2 cars, then the average is 1 car. Unless your just talking about the average of households that have a car, so ignoring people who live in city centre flats & retirement homes, to skew the data to fit the argument. Prove anything with stats etc.....

Aye, but you can't even plan something as basic as getting to work on time
I’m the worlds greatest planner man. All times stated are subject to plus or minus 30 minutes though.

I got a polestar 2 couple of month ago.

Cockpit feels and looks like a more traditional cockpit which I like, some leccy are weird inside. Like no dashboard screen ? Wtf.
Anyway lovely car to drive.

I'll get the test drive for the EV6 rebooked. Had to cancel it last week.
Does look nice.
Have had my last 5 cars from new, EV6 is the best of the lot.

SWMBO is insisting on another EV6 when I will be looking at deciding on next car in next 9 months or so (although there are far more EVs than when I ordered almost 2 years ago).

Love my matte paint, but I think this has now been withdrawn. Did then decide on the yacht blue only to discover that mine was one of the last (at the time) to be built in matte grey.

I test drove the Tesla 3 performance and Pornstar (as SWMBO calls it) 🤣🤣
Did not test drive the EV6, but ordered it anyway. 14 months in - not disappointed one iota 😊😊
Polestar was sh*t IMHO. You can tell its another car they've taken and stuffed a battery in.

I couldn't justify the money they wanted for the EV6 as it looks a bit odd as well as the ride issue.

Charging network saves Tesla everytime
I've not bothered with the Tesla. Looks awful IMO. Internally anyway.
...and it will annoy the sh*t out of you

I had an EV6 for a test drive.

The ride was poor IMHO - but not as poor as the friggin Tesla I ended up buying 🤣
the ride around town in the model 3 & Y is firm that's for sure. But on my recent trip to Poland, I had no problems whatsoever, even in rural parts of Germany and Poland. Our roads are disgusting in comparison

Supercharging network really is something like. Dont mind the odd Tesla quirk, whats annoying you about it?

How long have you got? 🤣

The ride. Roof rack options shit. Towbars out of stock. Rattles have started already. Voice commands worse than 2016 Golf. Ridiculous menu for OS. Spotify menu...

I could go on

Basically, it's a complete kernt

My son in law has one. Glorious acceleration, I love the cameras all round the car. The ride is awful, the amount of road noise is disappointing, the dependence on the screen and lack of proper buttons is something I couldn't live with, and the interior is just dull.
Not for me, but then I'll never be able to afford one!

wow i havnt had half of those issues. what model year? The roof rack cant be argued. I wish the Y had been in my budget but it wasnt. The OS i have no issue with, or the voice commands. Plenty do though.

AS for rattles there are a couple on mine (Fremont built) but not enough to bother me.
