Looks on the verge of tears during his interview. I presume someone has a gun pointed at him behind the camera.

That will be within the gift of the other two, I think they'll be smart enough to keep him on a tighter leash than Donald could.

None of them will be here to keep him on amy leash whatsover though. He'll be wandering about abusing staff, giving players team talks and letting his mouth go about anything amd everything again such as Poyet signing.

I've no idea why anyone thought an announcement about our new Sporting Director would include a revelation that the CEO has been sacked.

At the absolute minimum he's in the job until the takeover is announced. Then he's potentially still in the admin role if they think he's doing a decent enoough job.

Fairly easy to predict negativity though when we have underachieved for decades 😂

Nowts changed other than the fact we've employed someone who's job it is to totally change the footballing philosophy of the club 😂
We shall soon find out

Now that things are happening, certainly. The appointment seems right - as does the remit. I've said all through this that I understand why people are on edge due to the dreadful Donald regime. We know that this type of appointment is not the sort of thing we'd get from Donald. Indeed he's said on more than one occasion he doesn't believe in this sort of system. And while Johnson wouldn't have been my pick, I'm happy to let the new man make decisions based on his own criteria. Basically, from now until I have reason to believe otherwise, Trust The Process:)

Edit: so long as Methven keeps his incompetent snout out of the road anyway!

Good to hear!

I certainly wouldn’t expect a sacking announcement. But a specific name drop and job description suggests he’s not going anywhere and him not going anywhere suggests deck chair shuffling and not a takeover.

I don't get it at all.

It's as if people expected Eddie Howe and a new 3 million pound signing 😂

"I’m grateful for the autonomy granted me by the ownership group to pursue this plan and create something we can all be proud of."

Thin that pretty much sums up where we are heading
Confirms what we already know. The current owners have no say in the day-to-day of the club, and have delegated this entirely to the CEO.
That's exactly why they appointed a CEO. Exactly as Short did.

I suppose I've got nowt against the CEO, he's just acting on orders of the owners. Once the owners are replaced, hopefully his orders will change (or he is paid off)

No fresh ideas on the day we appoint a sporting director with total autonomy over the football side of the club? U ok hun?

In fairness my initial response to the names in the frame was “those feel like old regime appointments”. Tony Coton and Jack Ross with different titles.

The statement has gone a fair way to allaying those fears.
