An absolutely mental appointment. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Kane go to Man U now.

They probably wish they did around October time now they might’ve stayed up if they hadSaves Burnley sacking him.

I’d say it shows exactly the opposite if it’s got him the Bayern job. It's shows a naivety and weaknesses in the extreme for a manager to try and play a pretty way as opposed to a style that actually suits the players at his disposal.

He'll have better defenders than what he has at Burnley, but he'll still need to reign in that all or nothing attacking football that he seems intent on playing. Odd with him being a very, very good defender.
Can't see it working their for him, but I bet he's as surprised as the rest of us that he's favorite.
Aye, looks like it.
Bayern’s weakest position by a mile is centre back
Well, they're f#cked then![]()
Against Real Madrid they had a Korean lad who looked like a competition winner. Every goal came from a calamitous comedy mistake by him.
Oh and the other one was Eric Dier.

The best managers can adapt and adjust to those situations.
He also spent £100m on players that largely don't actually fit the style he wanted to play, and cost them loads of points by refusing to budge.
Muric was absolutely fine for Burnley last season, and then trying to be smart Kompany went out and spent £19m on Trafford who was one of the worst players in the entire PL. He eventually got dropped when it started to become so bad that it was embarrassing, and although Muric made a couple of howlers, he single-handedly won them points in his end of season run in the side which corresponded with Burnley's best run of the season.

In fairness he was the best defender in serie A the season before .
I agree the best managers can mix things up depending on their players but I don't think it's naive. It's shows a naivety and weaknesses in the extreme for a manager to try and play a pretty way as opposed to a style that actually suits the players at his disposal.
Kim is a superb passer of the ball. De Ligt is a top class defender. Upamecano is decent too.Against Real Madrid they had a Korean lad who looked like a competition winner. Every goal came from a calamitous comedy mistake by him.

It's quite a sensible way of playing to get noticed higher up the leagues. I'd argue Russell Martin has done a similar thing in his career.
Replicate the current "elite" way of play lower down and teams higher up will notice what you're doing and think you'd be a good fit for their systems. In a way it's a better way to get known than having no obvious identity (or a pragmatic one). Top teams won't know whether you can deliver what they want. Bayern can be reasonably sure Kompany can deliver what they want from their team
And Upamecano is the worst of the lot of them from what I’ve seen, dog shit every time I’ve watched him despite being highly ratedAgainst Real Madrid they had a Korean lad who looked like a competition winner. Every goal came from a calamitous comedy mistake by him.
