Ya defo on a wind up ye lad!No dedicated cycle lane on the bridge is a bit of a flaw.
Cross that bridge when we come to it. Just wonder if Labour get the zombie votes again just coz grandad used to in 57.I worry it's too late.
But that's for another thread
Will be interesting to see what they chose to light it up for, and what they don't. As I imagine there'll be a small cost involved which will be used as a political football

That will be the £28K that the RFU paid to get it open temporarily for the world cup. Some people will moan about anything.Read the 1st reply on twitter. Some bloke banging on about a white elephant and £28k. Saying Reform will sort it.
It used to cut the entire corner off. Much easier to get out and into the pub post matchThose gates being closed makes no sense at all like. It's only about 50 yards.
Sorry mate, labour may get the usual votes in Sunderland coz loads are scared of change. Unfortunately, they wouldn't be in power nowadays if there was a general election. Must be a few reform voters in the UK somewhere.Labour will get my vote because they've transformed this city in the last 5/10 years. It's that simple

There'll be someone along soon enough to complain,Nothing to whinge and moan about now.![]()
If only more people could see this .Nee idea what your talking about. The local elections are next may and labour will get my vote simply because they've performed magnificently in the last 5-10 years..the city has literally been transformed. Local elections have fuck all to do the general election
Just saying even if labour in Sunderland did pathetically, they'd still get the local votes. However, statistics show that Reform would take 10 Downing street if there was a general election. A lot of people seem to think that there are only a few reform fans when in reality its a bit more than that.Nee idea what your talking about. I know a few ex yard lads and though none are that extreme they know a few who are.I know a few of them that post on there , all Sunderland blokes , ex shipyard workers. Every single one of them constantly twisting on Facebook and fall for every single thing Reform / Farage / Tommy ten names / sunderland corruption etc .. tells them
Let's hope they ram this fact home when it comes to campaigning. They have solid evidence of doing good for the city. It's transformed, as you say. Anyone voting for that other lot in the circumstances (or indeed any circumstances, IMO) needs their head examining.Labour will get my vote because they've transformed this city in the last 5/10 years. It's that simple

Eh? What's gone on there as I thought as I was seeing double reading the new threads as I see the news was posted in this thread.See we have a 2nd thread about this on the pure football thread
I think it's newsyish enough for a separate thread on PF for now.We know and you know there's a massive thread all about it here

Don't want this locked, it's 260 pages of us talking about the bridge , definitely needs keptEh? What's gone on there as I thought as I was seeing double reading the new threads as I see the news was posted in this thread.
Mods can you not merge and simply change the title so we don't have 2 threads on the go. Move this to Pure Football if need be so people see it or lock this one so the conversation or further info about progress etc isn't split up
Merge the other one into this, pretty pointless making another thread about it tbh.Don't want this locked, it's 260 pages of us talking about the bridge , definitely needs kept
I think we can leave it where it is with over 340k views. I rarely venture onto Pure Football and I guess there are people who rarely venture over here so arguably it makes sense if there is one specifically about the opening and the match on PF.Eh? What's gone on there as I thought as I was seeing double reading the new threads as I see the news was posted in this thread.
