I remember some early suggestions for bids on the opening of the Northern Spire and the people of Pallion/Southwick/Castletown meeting in the middle was one of them.
I was pretty disappointed with what they did in the end.
Although the day when you could walk over it freely with no traffic was great.

About 5ft high. If you jump over them you'll gan straight in the river or on the banks. There's nee parapet to sit on til someone comes and talks you out of it.

Combination ones can be unlocked pretty easily. Will be tempted to shift a few myself if I see them.

I think they had to take them off one cos the bridge was being structurally undermined by the weight of the locks.

Aye, I've seen it before like but assumed it was specific to that particular bridge and not a weird thing people did everywhere. I'll chip in for some bolt cutters.
