Jordan Henderson (signed for Brentford)

The folks not wanting to sign Henderson because of his Saudi brain fart are far too virtuous to walk amongst ordinary folk. I can understand the ones who may have reservations as to his age but he's a fit lad and his experience will be invaluable. I could see him in a Libero role with great through balls for Mayenda, Isidor and whoever else we buy.
So the Mags sell out to the Saudis and they are the scum of the earth.

One of our own sells out every principle he has spouted loud and proud about, and takes Saudi money, and it's a little brain fart, cos you want him here.

The hypocracy if off the scale man.

Your really comparing one player who in the end didn’t get a penny if reports are true to a full state owned run football club with Saudi boy chants and towels 😂😂😂 Haway mate.

Life must be very black and white for you, pun may have been intentional.

People quoting he played loads of games for Ajax last season and played really well, aye and Jozy Altidore scored a boat load of goals in that league, that went well....................

He was finished as a Premier League player when he left Liverpool man.

But its the one player who people want us to just forget about his past and sign.

It's nowhere near the level of the Mags but however you spin it, he sharp fucked off his previous morals when the blood money came calling.

Yes he changed his mind but he thought he made the right decision and thought about the backlash etc when he made the original decision.

I was on these forums probably giving him stick at the time tbh, he made a mistake and walked away from all that money again if reports are true. I just find it funny people linking a full takeover by the blood money to one player who went over there rectified his mistake and walked away from all that money. It’s not even in the same ball park and those linking the two have to be mags man it’s some mental gymnastics.

I’ve not seen him play since he left, he won’t be a full starter I don’t think but as a squad player bringing all that experience it could be a shrewd signing.

Milner was finished for Liverpool.

Welbeck finished for Arsenal.

De Bruyner finished for City.

Being 'finished' at a top 3 club doesn't mean your finished. It simply means they don't want to pay you £100,000+ a week anymore because you've peaked. All 3 still brilliant players.

jesus the guy is in the England squad and has won everything in club football.
Can't believe some idiots on here wouldn't want him back.
Utterly baffling this place sometimes
:double skinned extra thick tin hat with carbon fibre lining on:

A quick search for Henderson in thread title hoyed up these thread from when he left Liverpool. I haven't read them all page for page but the 1st page is enough to get a feel of the threads.

The comments and likes of those comments in this 1st thread, especially post #10 saying "So disappointing , I/we were all big fans of his as well . Fuck him now , wouldn’t want him associated with our club ever again." implies exactly that. As I've said, it's strange how views about change when it's a benefit to a club but that's football bias for you 🤪

There was a prediction he'd be here by late 2024, early 2025 and look at posts #4 & #7 in comparison to post #11

I see many now saying he made a mistake but even when he wanted to leave it was more negative towards him than coming here

or here, post #4 for example

Did he really make a mistake as in he thought about his morals he'd left at Liverpool and said "Oops I've upset a lot of people so I'll leave Saudi"?

Or was it that it was shite and he didn't like it, just like other players have found out when they went out there? From October to December I see his team only won once in last 13 games (he played in 12) and come January the story broke he wanted away.

He also had his young family to consider with bairns aged 3, 8 and 9. I'm sure by then a multi millionaire would be thinking this is shite and it's not as if he couldn't quit as he'd be out on the streets penniless. He could still get millions from a club like Ajax (supposedly got a £1.2m signing on fee anarl).

Long story short, it isn't baffling why some still wouldn't want him back when you look at it without the club bias. As I said if this was a mag, imagine if it was Shearer who'd done all the LGBTQ etc stuff, saying he wanted to grow football in Saudi and then did the Saudi World Cup video, then would people really still be saying "But he made a mistake"? I think we all know the answer to that 🤣

Your Boro marras enjoy that one? 😂🤣🤣😅
Very open on there. That's why I don't hide my username.

You and I may differ.

I am a grown up, and have the ability to converse with other grown ups, without getting all neanderthal and tribal.

You on the other hand, appear as if you may need copious amounts of Savlon to constantly rub into your knuckles because of the dragging that unavoidably occurs.

(If the long words hurt your brain, ask someone to explain them marra.)

Steve Bould was superb for us while he was here . He marshalled that defence, and Hendo would do the same in midfield as a sitting midfielder

Yes I am marra.

He threw away every principle he openly stood for, for money.

Whether he got that money or not is irrelevant. That's why he went, and in doing so he showed his hipocracy.

If this was any other 35 yo player most on here would be saying fuck that.

What's wrong with that?
I do want all 3 of the NE teams in the top league.
Why wouldn't you?

It really is marra.
It's not man.

I've been a huge Jordan Henderson fan. Loved him here, and when he left, he's probably been my favourite non-Sunderland player of the past 20 years. Tremendous footballer, and good character, and he deserves everything he's achieved.

Nobody was as disappointed as me when he went to Saudi. But it was a mistake at a strange juncture in his career. His time was up at Liverpool up and ya dunno what options he had on the table. You'd assume not many. I think he's probably been away with England over there, not had a bad experience, and he's been sold a pup by his old mate Stevie G.

He went, it wasn't for him, and he returned to a proper football club on a massive pay cut. He's not a bad person.

It's a world away from actively greasing up and bending over for your tyrannical overlords to use your club for sportswashing in the hope it buys you a few trophies.

And that wasn't what I actually said, but the sentiment was the same.
If you are ganna quote, get it right.

Didn't knar I had a stalker mind, even if they are clearly educationally subnormal and borderline illiterate.

Any other gems you can dig up from my grown up conversations on there?

Mad that people can't see the difference.

It's not even remotely the same, anyone saying different is a blatant mag trying to justify it to themselves.

Spot on, totally agree. The lad for several reasons will be an outstanding signing for us both on and off the field.
