I think it was Nick Barnes on total sport last January who said Anderson signed for peanuts and the clubs data showed a small number of ball playing left footed defenders and due to this took a chance on him for next to nothing.
Sounds about right. Sometimes they come off.

He's been doing quite well when I've seen him, no idea why he was on the bench on Saturday when he had a good game the Tuesday before. Matty Taylor is under quite a bit of pressure there with fans calling for him to be sacked when they went two down against Reading on Saturday, they went on to win 3-2 so that probably eased things a bit.
Back to Anderson, he's good in the air and good with the ball and crucially for some he's over 6ft! Maybe he'll be back in January to add some depth to the squad, still only 22.

He started his career playing wide left so I'd guess he'll be comfortable on the ball. The lad was skipper of the under 21 side too which could be an indication that he has something about him. Let's see how he fares on his return before writing him off.
Needs a decent gumshield then by the sound of it. Knowing SAFC, a damaged tooth would keep you on the sidelines for 9 months so we need to avoid this.
