Teams don’t have 2 strikers trying to get on crosses and people filling the box , they keep possession and work the ball into the box now until something opens up
No one plays with two unless they are trying to get back into the game. I always find it funny when everyone screams for two up front from the off. We’re solid and hard to beat for a reason it’s done us well so far.
It’s off again
Always felt like our name was being used to smoke out interest.

Celtic getting a 2nd opinion on his ankle injury from specialists in London apparently.

Think they want him more than what we do or our names been mentioned as a rival to get the Celtic deal done.

This one might run on till deadline day and be the biggest story of the window 😆

There's a time and system for 2 up front, but the idea that it makes you more attacking is a funny one. In reality, with our current setup, it's more likely to mean 2 strikers marooned up the pitch and the midfield being overrun, or at least one of them dropping deeper or wider to be involved and instantly making it not 2 up front any longer.

It's always exciting to bring in a new player, especially one who is an unknown quantity, but I don't think I'd lose too much sleep if this one doesn't go through.

Leeds have done well since their formation change to 2 up front. It takes some balls to do it, but they didn't really have much choice with the way it was going for them, so they deserve credit for rolling the dice and going for it.

With where we are in the league, and how our hard to beat tactics that's got us there, it's hard to see us trying anything like that, but I do think we have the personnel if Regis fancied giving it a go.

Still kept their defensive side though as they went 3-5-2. Just did away with out and out wingers and went more direct up to DLC.

Aye, it shows you don't have to just think of a standard 442 to get 2 up top. Leeds' shape does change with/without the ball, it still gives them that extra centre forward on the pitch.

Have you actually watched how direct say City have become this season and the reason for them more relying on set pieces (their size) and Haaland so much? Sure they can play the moving the ball around the box as well as almost anyone, but they also use pace, directness etc more than at anytime in the last ten years - hence buying the likes of Semenyo.

There are so many teams now playing on transition like Newcastle, Forest, Palace, us, Brentford as well. Leeds also cross loads to pick up bits from DCL.

It's not all from the byline of course, but that's not what anyone is saying. Its you who is categorically saying no one goes to the byline - when there are clear instances of it this season.
I’m not saying it never ever happens it’s just not the old way of whiling crosses on anymore like traditional wingers players were known for their crossing that isn’t the case anymore and majority play on opposite foot

Will be a one for the future you'd imagine. Nice to get a few of these, let them bed in and then hopefully they can contribute later. Hopefully we have similar luck to brighton with these types.

Awful league he's playing in for sure but his data is canny, there's better highlight reels out there of him where he shows a lot of promise. I imagine we will still be looking for a starting winger too
For the reported £2m it's worth a gamble. You sign a few of these guys a year, even if only 20% of them end up being regular first team players it's worth it.
