.Four young Glasgow lads that my mate and me met while on holiday in Morocco back in '78 came down to visit in february 79.

We all went to the Boilermakers club then caught the last train for Newcastle that would get us in for the kick off.

It was the famous/infamous 1-4 Gary Rowell match and the battle of Bath Lane before it, which we managed to get caught up in.

The lads were all Rangers supporters, but later said though they'd been to lots of Old Firm derbies they'd never seen anything like that walk from the central station to St James.

Where are you getting the information from that says it’s a fan owned club?

Their owner is on the board of an Israeli drone company that supplies the IDF who, if you happen to have been living under a rock, are doing more war crimes than we buy pints. So I still don’t feel comfortable giving them that kind of money.

No issue with the player individually were he to come on a free transfer.

Mores the pity. Defenders hate it when they have to clear a cross facing towards their own goal

The sheep all follow how they are ‘supposed’ to play. Just like Pep does, even if they cannot do it.

Everyone said 4-3-3 is finished five years ago as they would be overrun by the extra man in midfield of a 4-4-2.

Not so long ago everyone said the long-throw into the box was only for the likes of cloggers like Stoke.

Its like saying "no one takes long throws anymore" till midway through last season- doesn't mean it can't be used, that its not effective even if the trend is for something else.

We've certainly seen players mix it up and do it this season too - Cerki took the piss doing it. Semenyo has done it often too. Maduke this season as well. There are maybe less tradional one dimensional wingers I.e. Jaden Sancho types, but the idea no one goes to the byline is absolute nonsense, it's still used and still hard to defend.
