Jobe Bellingham - post SAFC compendium

don’t know how to put it on here but he’s just posted about his contract signing from last year (I thought he’d signed a new one for a minute) on Instagram.

If it is, it seems an odd way to say it. Feels like nervous fans reacting negatively to anything they see?

The wine emoji is his saying the “my comments about unfinished business aged like fine wine” and that he stayed to finish a job, and now that job is finished.

It’s not often I take it well when a player decides to leave, but we were lucky to have Jobe and he’s destined for bigger and better than us, at least in the next few years.

Hopefully one day we’re at a level where we can attract players like him at this stage of their career, not when they’re bairns.

If you're ignoring the reports from Germany saying its nearly done aye...
Bit like when we’re signing someone, till the club get the scarf out it’s just speculation. I always expected him to move on, so when I saw the insta post with the glass of red wine my first thought was he was staying. Time will tell but the fans are understandably nervous.

I am not in the know at all, but I think he was going win, lose or draw…. His career is already drafted out and wouldn’t surprise me if he has transfer release clause that may be less than we hope

How much would we get for him were we to sell him?

How much did we pocket from winning the final? I don't even know if we stand to earn anything else from elsewhere.

I would love to know how much all that would add up to. It must be well over £30 or 40 million surely.

We could be as rich as clubs like Nottingham Forest and we haven't as yet spent a penny.

The lad is clearly being directed, and directed well in his footballing career to make him as good a footballer as he can possibly be.

I thank him massively for what hes done here and he's always welcome back.

We are now a PL club with players who are worth something. I'd have given my right nut to be in this position. It could stall his career staying here next season as we will struggle to adapt, so we can't apportion any blame for him moving on.

Go and set the world alight Jobe. Score the winner for England in a world cup.

We have became as a club where he wants to be playing. Yes ge could go to the German league, but he wont be starting.

He starts our first game in the prem.

1 season to show his talent in the top league, then, if he continues as he has, hes going to a european top club in my opinion

I also think Mayenda will be a stand out
Best of luck to Jobe, if he goes.

Mayenda finally starting to look like the real deal - based on the last dozen games in the Championship.

Anyone who's played in the prem will confirm that the players need to find a way to improve themselves - by a massive amount.

Mayenda is still young and has the potential to be a top striker but he may have a good season and only score 5 or 6 goals.
