Surely Lucumi needs to tell them he wants to leave...better money here and he gonna be playing for the wizards!!

Never one to complain matey but no point trying to keep a player who wants to leave, look at geordie Arabia, just sews disharmony,I fully agree.
As long as we don’t get too pissy when players decide they have a better option and want to leave. Can’t have your cake and eat it!
Or just put a bid in to drive the price up then walk away before telling them to shove Lucumi![]()
This ^They’re proving that we know how to look after players, not just for the sake of it but they want to keep the right ones around.
We also proved that we won’t hold players to ransom when we let Jobe go. I feel things like this will make a big impression when recruiting in future, unlike what the mags have done with Isak
He'll be sold before Sept 1stDoes Alese come into the picture anywhere, bearing in mind he'll be backup, and I definitely think he has the ability?
Probably not as the bloke is made of rice cakes.Does Alese come into the picture anywhere, bearing in mind he'll be backup, and I definitely think he has the ability?
Aye... it'll be a hellish job trying to manage it allIm in two camps on this, Reggie has shown sometimes he doesn’t care what form a player is in sometimes. Like when he brought Ballard back in for the playoffs. A lot of people thought it was a bad move as mepham and onien were seen as first choice at that point. But he saw where Ballard maybe needed with the balls in the box and brought him straight back in. I just can’t see him dropping Ballard though if he continues like Saturday. Same as this other French lad, people will say we’ve not signed him to sit on the bench but if Hume continues to play well he will be on the bench. It’s a squad game and just like Le fee they’ll all get their chance at some point.
The Isak saga is the biggest mistake the mags have made since that bloke punched a horse and they smashed up their own city. Players have all the power, so holding them to ransom only impacts future prospective players and upsets the dressing room. They’re proving that we know how to look after players, not just for the sake of it but they want to keep the right ones around.

Man U who?We won’t be getting amad manI always have a little chuckle to myself when people say get him. He’s a player that’s important to Man Utd.
It’s no ScarboroughBologna is my favourite Italian city, I’m finding their intransigence challenging
I agree we’ve handled departures well so far but we’ve not had a situation where a player we really want to keep is forcing his way out.If the roles were reversed and Mayenda was agitating to go after scoring 20 goals this season, I doubt we’d take it with equanimity. I know that’s football etc and it’s funny to see them in disarray but we wouldn’t like it.The Isak saga is the biggest mistake the mags have made since that bloke punched a horse and they smashed up their own city. The club and player relationship needs to be a grown up one with mutual respect. I'm so pleased we have this right.
I would let the lad leave for a fair fee and find the next Mayenda. You’re a better man than me then. I would be pissed off!I would let the lad leave for a fair fee and find the next Mayenda. It's how football works.
For the record:Just more focused on match day squad than squad for the season. I think that's a solid enough squad but signings made now will have to be made with AFCON in mind. I think it could be a CM loan and a winger purchased.
Nah they don't
Yeah coz thats worked for isakSurely Lucumi needs to tell them he wants to leave...better money here and he gonna be playing for the wizards!!
As fans, we can't help but get attached to players. In a well ran club anyone is replaceable as long as the value for that player is met. You’re a better man than me then. I would be pissed off!
So now our first team squad looks a little like
Roefs/Patterson
Hume/Mukiele
Reinildo/Cirkin/Masuaku
Ballard/Alderete/Lucumi/ O Nien?
Xhaka/Sadiki/Diarra/Le Fee/Rigg/Neil
Adingra/Talbi/Roberts/ Mundle
Mayenda/Guiu/Isidor
24 man squad there. Allowed 25, and honestly looking at it I can't see which position we'd go for. I'm all for putting faith in the front 3, why wouldn't you when two of them have just scored in the opening day, if a striker is to be replaced though it'd be Isidor. 4 strikers in a squad for one position just wouldn't work.
Abdullahi, already in the buildingI would let the lad leave for a fair fee and find the next Mayenda. It's how football works.
