It’s often the case nowadays. Bids aren’t submitted until we’ve verbally agreed something with the agent and player.

i still think we could do with another centre back but I'm not sure i'd now be spending 20m plus on one with Alderete and seemingly Mukiele coming in. Ballard does have a bit of a tendency to pick up injuries. maybe try and pick someone up on loan towards the end of the window

would rather the bulk of whatever we have left to spend goes on a striker/winger. then again have no idea what we have 'left' to spend and we might sign both

Ballard's brilliant but he has 2-3 falls every match when you hold your breath and aaif for him to stand up again.
