Think he should have and is still worth a punt in the middle order, to me he has more about him than the players you mentioned.

Throwing him in the lions den in a position he is unfamiliar with, and then totally discarding him as a test player after just 2 games is just bad crack imo.

There is simply no evidence of that though. They are consistently the best players in the format outside of the test team.
Roy has flaws in his technique that dont effect him as much in 1 day cricket, but he is unable to leave a ball.
He shouldnt have been called up in the first place tbh, it should have been an actual opener. Shame theres to little focus on batting time these days, so there waant much choice. He wont be the first or the last to be discarded quick. Its happened to foakes despite decent performances and being the better wicketkeeper.
Denly also shouldnt be in the team, but he and vince seem to be favs of bayliss

Roy has a worse FC average than Sibley, despite batting middle order.

I don't know why you keep directing stuff like this at me, I dropped Roy for Sibley in my pre-squad team.
