Jamie Vardy Documentary

Red

Striker
Sorry if SEB, but watched it on Netflix yesterday, very good.

He comes over really well, funny as you'd expect, but what a player he was, loved the lad.

I can't stand him and that's putting me off watching it, in case it changes my mind about him!

Already hating it as he's only doing it cos his wife wasted all their money on losing that court case.

Better stop chatting shit though, else I'll be getting banged apparently.

If Vardy were a character in Wind In The Willows, he'd be the weasel that is out to Steal Toads fortune.

Great player but always struck me as a deeply unpleasant fellow with an equally unpleasant wife in the background. Do I need a Documentary to change my mind? Probably not.

Perhaps thats your impression of him cos you dont know otherwise. His looks probably helped you form that opinion as did probably his fierce will to win.
Fwiw im not a fan of him either but would i have been pleased if hed signed for Sunderland at the start of this season...yes i would

My impression is based on the snippets of information I have read about him. Lazy? Yes. Accurate? Probably.

His looks have nothing to do with it. In fact, in the right light I am sure some people might call him handsome. I know I most certainly would.

And yes, would have loved that he played for us. I could then pretend that he was a stand up fellow.

Every one of his team mates loved him. He was just a normal lad, loved a drink with his mates on a weekend, who used his talent to get to the top after being told that he'd never make it as a footballer.

Well he always tried very hard. If he had been as good as you infer he would have been snatched up by a top 6 club once Leicester started their fall

There were rumours of a host of top clubs trying to sign him, Arsenal bid £22m for him in 2016 triggering a release clause he had in his contract. Arsene Wenger was Arsenal manager at the time, knew a thing or two about players did Arsene. Vardy subsequently signed a new 4 year deal with Leicester.

He didn't do too bad for someone who "tried very hard"

Prem league winner 15/16
Prem League Player of the season 15/16
FA Cup winner 2021
Prem top scorer with 23 goals in 19/20
Holds the prem league record of scoring in the most consecutive games (11)

So yeah, I think he was as good as I infer.
