anderson was getting the required seam movement as well
fair enoughyeah I know but thats my point, the pitch was offering assistance to the bowlers
fair enough
you got my trophy engraved yet
Its not a Brisbane wicket in terms of pace but its certainly flat. Jimmy hasnt got his figures with the ball seaming around - he got then by bowling tightly, building pressure and cutting out the 4 balls he used to dish up too often in the past - hes an improved bowler.
In terms of me admitting i'm wrong I do often enough. The nature of the sport is that you are bound to be proved wrong on occasion because players have it in their power to improve. With Bell I have been more than happy to be proved wrong and said so many times. I would have got rid of him because he had proven over a long enough period of time to be mentally deficient. The selectors and Essex Boy were bang on.
I'll always stand by the Prior argument. In WI it was the worst display of keeping I have ever seen and i think he may have broken the world record on byes conceded - he was a shambles. I said if Prior didnt improve his keeping he would have to go no matter how decent his batting was. Prior to his credit did exactly that.
With regards to Anderson you have been humiliated you put all your cards in one basket about his first morning at Brisbane and he came up with the goods.
the replica ashes thing cant be engraved, i have been in touch with the trophy supplier, so i am going to get a medal to go with it, nowt flash, but than will be engraved
seam movement from Siddle
I'm sure it does say something on the link or you wouldnt have posted it. I can't find it though - these sleepless nights catching up on me.
ffs aye its been doing a little bit on the odd occasion but hardly anything t justify your comments that its swinging and seaming all ower the shop. it has been far from 'helpful conditions'.
i read through it 5 times looking for something glaringly obvious to prove me wrong, and then find out it mentions seam movement for a wicket![]()

just do control F and type in swinging

i watched it man
the difference appears to be when it swings on occasions i see it as just that. whereas you see the word swing and then instantly imply it was like a boomerang!
