3 good seasons. St Mirren X2 and Dumbarton.

Might be a failure as is the risk with any appointment. However he's not got a track record of failure and sackings like Coleman or McCarthy.

call it what you want. I've spent most of last season defending Coleman against many who thought he was a fraud because he couldn't keep us up. We then appoint a bloke who couldn't keep Alloa up in a similar amount of time and he's some sort of saviour. :confused:

You are ignoring what he has done in his current job. Scottish manager of the year. Coleman has done not a single thing in club management.
 
He could ofcourse be the new Ferguson, but I cant see it. Even the lad from Shrewsbury or something. I can understand the change in direction but this fella?

Alloa hadn't just been relegated from the premiership though. They'd finished 2nd bottom the season before.

It's early days, so things might calm down a bit. I would imagine once we have a manager he'll do most of the talking anyway. We'll see.
 
Ross would be rather an exciting appointment; something I never could have said of Moyes, Grayson or Coleman coming to Sunderland.
 
Had anyone heard of Eddie Howe before his success? He be a great appointment or a poor one. Who knows but worth giving him a shot where we are to try and build something
