Such a position, exactly what position is that, We are League 1 man

A position where we are a massive club light years away from st mirren in terms of size and stature. Got nowt against the bloke personally but looking at the evidence. What in his career so far suggests he is the man for the job in terms of a) size of club and b) size of the task ahead? He is under pressure to perform. Anything less than challenging at the top from the start will be seen as failure. A tough ask at the best of times but in addition to that it is a completely new league in a different country where he has to assemble a brand new squad from scratch. It seems a crazy appointment to me.

Who would you have gone with? To manage us in league one.

A new country, last time I looked Scotland was part of our country. A different league maybe. He’s just won PFA Scottish Manager of the Year.
I’m just genuinely not sure who people expected

Off the top of my head as ive already said the lad from Shrewsbury. Would love keane me, Coleman even. Its a moot point cos you will pull to bits anyone I suggest. The fact is, any of the above have more relevant experience and would, in my opinion be more suited.

Its a hell of a risky appointment like, handing the keys to Sunderland, league one would have been a massive step up even if he went to fleetwood

I don't consider winning the scottish championship as an achievement. Even less so when the championship winning season included a 4-1 defeat to Livingston.

Embrace it Doberman and have a sneaky double on Rangers and Sunderland for next season.

I'm not so sure about Rangers though.

Why? He's f***ing hopeless

Well im certainly not Scottish, im 100 per cent English. The two countries are consituent parts of the united kingdom.

All the twisty fuckers on here...there is no guarantee of success in football no matter who the manager is, just look at Coleman. I've got a good feeling about this appointment and bear in mind he has turned down Barnsley and Ipswich I think we have pulled off a bit of a coup. I will welcome Jack Ross and hopefully the team he puts out replicates St Mirren. Everyone get behind the Club and all involved...new start!

No appointment would satisfy everyone.
Let’s face it we’ve tried virtually every option from experienced, maverick, foreign, home based, supposed safe hands etc etc and they’ve all failed or left.
I’m all for giving Ross a chance. Like all the rest he’ll ultimately be judged on results.
