Jack Clarke

I think it’s the sheer amount they’re willing to pay up front to get him
Seems to have moved really quickly from this being rejected earlier today, to accepted a few hours later.

Can’t understand their thinking, but obviously don’t know the whole story.

This is the genuine concern. With Clarke now definitely gone - I'd really like to see Benson (or another LW that's not a child) brought in to play while Mundle continues to develop. Then two of the three strikers will do. If they don't reinvest and we hit a rough patch, things will turn, even for the rational among us. A win this weekend, reinvestment made in attacking players and fans will move on.
But then you shell out half decent money for a player…and that same player will want a decent wage to come since he’s cost a few bob.
It’s a massive false economy, rather than giving Clarke a decent payrise and securing him to the club and building a team around him, not sacrifice a known quantity for more punts

I can’t remember the last time I feel like this when selling a player. Probably since the Bent/Hendo days. Probably because we’ve signed so much shite in that time. Proper kick in the balls
I’m f***ing sick like.

Absolute shithouses these at the top like they couldn’t care less

It’s true, we have accepted the offer this evening. £17m plus extra if they stay up.

He’s talking it over with the family, Harte pushing the move, it’s not definite yet
From his point of view, I just think it's a bit of a weak move. I get he wants PL and a bigger pay but hes joining a team likely to end up relegated. Im sure he could have got a better move than that if he shows what he can do this year
