Jack Clarke

Ballard New contract, Clarke new contract. Ekwah leaves for around £8m a new CDM and 2 strikers , a right back that can play centre half and that’s a hell of a window

Bit ambitious with £8m mind...

I feel like I might be alone here, but I'd actually a bit sad to see Ekwah go. But something's gotta give if we're realistic, and I certainly wouldn't want that to be Clarke.

All this is stemming from a SAFCNEWS2024 Twitter account

There is no “SAFC NEWS” ffs. It’s an attention seeking supporter making shit up to feel good about themselves when they get likes, shares and comments.

Probably a poster on here as well.
Apart from the poster on here is a credible source.

Got to imagine he will have a clause that lets him leave for a certain amount if we don't go up, but this is great news

Can you point to any examples of it ever happening before? If not I’d say that makes it massively unlikely, even just statistically.

If there were clubs likely to sign him this summer, he would not even be considering an extension. It just doesn’t work that way.
I can only think of Hamann at Bolton, but not really the same situation.

I think Ekwah has a lot of potential. Problem is if we really want to kick on we do have to realistically sell someone for decent money.

We all expected it to be Clarke because we resigned ourselves to him leaving, but it looks like he’s signing a new deal (along with Ballard) so then you’d look to the likes of Patterson, Hume, Jobe, Neil & Ekwah.

Of those 5, I’d prefer Ekwah to go.
