Jack Clarke

Well he’s an idiot if he does. This time next season he will be back in the Championship playing in front of one man and his dog at their shitty little shed of a ground.
Of course he won't be. He will leave if they go down as his agent won't be influenced by the fact that he (JC) kissed the horse on their badge.

£15m seems very low. Sets the tone for future departures re the club's propensity to actually play hardball (rather than grabbing any offered uplift cash like the last owners did).

No they say the up front fee then what will come down the line.
There’s no set rule tbh.

When we sold Ross Stewart some reported it as £10m + £2m add ons, but others £8m + £2m guaranteed add ons + £2m potential add ons. As the fee was undisclosed we’ll never know what the real structure was.

I was more surprised that we got to this point without any serious interest.

If it's true that we are expecting the sale, there must be a plan for this situation whether it's bringing someone else in or the players currently at the club.

Would love to see him stay clearly. But the reality of the model is this day was always going to come and let's just hope we get top money for our biggest asset. Then reinvest it properly into the side.

Ridiculous move if he goes to Ipswich mind.

Better off giving him what he wants until the end of the season and then allowing him to go wherever he wants if we don't go up.
he has a cpntract until the end of the season...no need to give him any more than that..just tell him to play well enough that a premier league club will pay the asking price in the summer..none seem willing to now..

his decision in the end...nobody will make him leave, so if he leaves and goes to ipswich thats on him and the poor advice he received from his advisors

Just like the plan for Ross Stewart’s departure?

He'll be getting 3x the wages he's getting here playing in the Premier League where if he does well he can get a move to a bigger club in the Premier League than he would staying in the Championship.
