Jack Clarke

I think some are living in a fantasy world thinking someone wouldn't want to triple his wages, he'll also have faith in his ability to do well there. On top of that if he gets to the point of moving then the club have accepted the offer so why would he want to stay?
Sometimes money not the main objective to some ya kna

He'll be gone because Harte wants him gone. Even if we gave him a new contract this same issue will crop up next window and the one after as that's how Harte will make his money (serious money). Yes he'd take a cut of any improved contract but that's not the big money plus still moving him on gets him double whammy.

The ony way of keeping Clarke is by getting promoted, the lad wants to play in the PL as any player would want to. He's happy here so if he thinks we can go up, and stay up, we've a chance of keeping him beyond the next couple of windows (assuming we've improved his contract to get through this one).

On a slightlly separate issue, the model of steadily improving and selling then reinvesting is good, but the way we're doing it is too slow with the modern game riches. The longer you're out of the PL the more you fall behind as even the relegated teams are coming down with massive resources through what they've earned plus the parachutes. We really need to invest more than we are to have a serious attempt at the top 2 and very worse case scenario, the playoffs, and a serious go at the playoffs if that's the worst case scenario.
Give him new contract with 18m release if we don’t get promoted this season

I'd be flabbergasted if Clarke rejects the chance of going to play PL football, even if it is with a relegation threatened team.

If Ipswich do come down, then they will likely be in a decent position to mount another challenge for promotion, whereas if Clarke stays, he's unlikely to play PL in the next two years.

He'll also get a bumper pay increase.

Clarke has remained very professional throughout all these rumours (not just this summer), however, he'll be chomping at the bit to get into the PL where he will no doubt think he belongs.
Very similar to Hackney to Spurs

I’ll be gutted if we get to the window being closed and we’ve lost Clarke, haven’t signed mendy but have signed isodor. That scenario has just flashed across my mind as an easily possible outcome

Exactly, he owes us nothing. Just not to anyone in the same division then it's absolutely fine by me

We're in a position of strength here.
We don't want or need to sell and if we do we have players already at the club who can operate in his position. Granted none of them are at Clarke's level yet but given an opportunity we have a few lads that could do well on the left.
We need to hold firm for that silly too good to be true offer.
20m is not that figure. We won't accept that and come away with 15m after Spurs take their cut.
15m or Jack Clarke? It's a no brainer of course you'd rather have Clarke.
If he's going to go it'll happen late in the window and it'll be for significantly more than what's currently been reported to be offered.

Loosing Jack Clarke this late on could potentially balls our season up. So if he’s going we’ve got to be looking at 25 million plus, anything less and it’s pointless
I hope the club are weighing up all factors and not just seeing pound signs. They've stood firm on similar bids for him in the past. If we are serious about wanting promotion, we should resist. And we are looking in good shape atm too, so would be a kick in the balls to lose him now.
