what a thread even if i did not get a mention some great lads i know well on here true stories outway bullshite curb hoppers claiming fame ...best lads ive ever met in footy from gunner to sammy smith to chris and geordie frankie w .i could go on and on made my night this thread ..

We had a kid called Greg who drove to a few aways during the Riedy era, the lad was a cracker Jack behind the wheel. He always insisted when he could driving home via Kerby Stephen so he could break his record at the speed he took the bend just before the bridge. We didn't mind because it meant we could have a couple of pints and get some chips. I still don't know how we got talking to him or who he was.

For a couple of seasons we had a lad from Nottingham who'd drive us to games even though he didn't support SAFC ...... he had this posh Rover 3000 thing and just loved driving it.

He'd pick us up, as if we were VIP'S, and drive us to whatever town it was. We'd get blind drunk, go to the game without him and he'd be waiting afterwards ....... the only time he complained was when we left Springfield Park and got mud all over his immaculate seats.

I've no idea who the fuck he was but there's a couple of lads who post on here might know.
