I like them both. They've both got a great sense of humour and don't take themselves seriously. The footage of her, Gilchrist (i think) and another aussie when she mentions needing a climax is quite superb...(or it was something like that)

She's part of the Ashes commentary team on TNT Sports.

To be fair she is one of the better female commentators. Deserves her place on merit rather than ticking a box.

Plenty haven’t played at a higher level. Johnston, Norcross, Blofield etc

Regis Le Bris is a particularly relevant example of playing ability being different to managing and commentating. Wayne Rooney too

Commentating has moved on since Johners, Blowers with more technical assessments now expected. That there are exceptions I wouldn't dispute -EBR has never indicated to me that she possesses such qualities.
Hence my conclusion that she's there purely for box ticking. Purely personal conclusion.

I’ve just read that he’s 2000 short of Tendulkar’s records and Root has made that in his last 22 tests! Not sure if true but incredible if so

That's true, just remembered she presented a lot of the Wimbledon coverage last year. She is good at what she does, I like her.

I know. I'm merely stating that in my opinion there's an awful lot of commentators who are utterly inept and employed because of their name/playing record rather than the ability to communicate.

That's true, just remembered she presented a lot of the Wimbledon coverage last year. She is good at what she does, I like her.

I think the BBC want her in as a bit of an all rounder like Balding and Logan, Plus all the Aussie Fox Coverage in the winter
