It’s the revival of that T20 stat sky used to use, combination of average and strike rateNo one averages more than Bairstow at a better strike rate in ODI history
It’s a reasonable one in the case I thinkIt’s the revival of that T20 stat sky used to use, combination of average and strike rate![]()
Good job a team can have two openers. They both deserve to be up there. Sharma generally goes bigger, but Bairstow faster. He’s very underrated I still feel in this format in particular.Bairstow best opener in this format in the world? Rohit is obviously brilliant but Bairstow scores quicker
I’d like him to open in T20 as well. Don’t think he’s keen batting at 4Good job a team can have two openers. They both deserve to be up there. Sharma generally goes bigger, but Bairstow faster. He’s very underrated I still feel in this format in particular.
Played very very well, aside from his idiotic running Roy out moment.Bairstow is a magnificent white ball player
Yea I’d have him opening too. I’d also have stokes opening though so my teams just a pipe dream for T20I’d like him to open in T20 as well. Don’t think he’s keen batting at 4
That’s the problem though, the marginal decision isn’t defined for the third umpire. That would normally have stayed with the onfield decision, but that doesn’t exist in the run out situation. You can’t say conclusively that it is out, there’s a possibility some marginal part of the curvature of the bat is just beyond the line which makes it difficult to call. It’s just impossible to call with the available technology.
I take your point about the mid frames, but since they don’t exist you can’t make a decision on assumptions like that - the bails could also have broken at the exact second the frame was taken, of course, however unlikely that may be.
Don’t think it’s been any better for sure. Think it shows how hard it is setting a total and even moreso when you play old fashioned cricket like they did. They caused a lot of their own wickets by the way they build instead of playing shots early when it’s easier to batHas the Indian attack been more toothless than ours?
The only wicket coming from a mix up between the batsmen. None of them have looked dangerous at all. Kumar hard to get away but that's been it really.
I get what you’re saying, but the bat isn’t quite that shape and does have a curve to it which introduces the doubt.See avatar. You can conclusively say it was out, but the point is this isn't a court of law. The third umpire gives his best decision - and that is clearly out even if you think there's some scintilla of doubt.
