I couldn’t believe what I was watching earlier there Stokes and Bairstow, it was just total destruction.
Having said that I remember watching them do it to South Africa over there in a test match.

Same curran is a ridiculously overrated cricketer mind. Infact hes quite shite. Apart from that series against india at.home hes done nout.

His figures away from.home are pathetic

I have only just been able to watch the highlights of the England innings - and I was thrilled. That has to be one of the greatest one day chases of all time.
We have things to work on for Sunday. Topley must stay in and Wood must return. I would also bring in Jordan, if we can.

Averages 23 with the ball in England, bowled well in South Africa last year. Was a stand out player for Chennai in the last IPL and he’s only 22. He’s definitely not shite
He’s useful as a squad player, but don’t see how he really fits into our full team. Don’t see a full international career in him but don’t mind him in the squad as a backup. Unlike his brother who is total shite tbh

A lot of the post match comments seem to me to be having a dig at those who criticised the defeat the other day, along the same lines as Morgan “this is how we play” etc. Find it a bit irritating tbh. I didn’t see the first game but my hunch is the Indians bowled much better in the first one, and we were playing daft unnecessary shots, whereas yesterday we were “playing positively” without taking unnecessary risks, while the bowling also allowed us to keep going

I don’t even think they bowled that much better. We played absolutely stupidly on Tuesday and threw wickets away. 9 out caught from attacking shots wasn’t it? Morgan is right to a degree, they were right to come out attacking from the beginning, no one will argue that. But once you get into that position and start losing wickets - I’m particularly thinking after stokes gets out and you’re 150-2, then you need to be smarter. Just put the brakes on for a couple of overs and arrest their momentum and give yourself a chance. The guy on 96 - Bairstow in this case - needs to value his wicket as if it’s a test for 10 overs.

When stokes came in yesterday, he did exactly that and scored a run a ball 30-35 before going big again. So whatever shit Morgan comes out with, we DID change our approach from Tuesday. Remember this is the same stokes that was out caught at cover 4 days prior after 7 balls.

The simple fact is we should have won this series already but instead we’re having to have a one off game to decide the winner - and we aren’t half as good setting as we are chasing...

Doesn't really matter whether India bowled better or not. These are batsmen's games. If you lose 10-116 needing 5 an over then your batsmen are utterly brain dead. A bowling side might actually earn 2-3 wickets tops with good balls all innings. The rest is just pressure, bad shots, death slog wickets etc.

India have one good bowler, the rest you just wait for a bad ball - and there'll be plenty - to belt. This is pretty much what England did in the second ODI. They hit slot balls for 6, they didn't even use their feet that much because the spinners couldn't hit a length (they used their feet more with Kumar, because he's very consistent). If you search for the big shot, well then you get the first ODI collapse. The second ODI was pretty much how they should bat generally, whether going first or chasing. It's why ODIs are such a batsmen's game - batsmen dictate the tempo and when to attack. All the bowlers can do is hit pummel a good line & length until they're hit off it. That generally doesn't happen unless it's a spinner or at the death. England could hit 400+ consistently on a pitch like that 2nd ODI by just picking off the rubbish and up the aggression with set batsmen in good match ups.
