India v England series

Just caught up with this thread. @The Rat and I have gone hell for leather at eachother in the past, but he's a good lad, loves his cricket, and has definitely calmed himself down lately. Doesn't deserve some of the shit he gets at times.

Anyway, disappointing today. Looks like that's the series gone, but I think we all predicted 3-1 or so anyway - and I think we can come out of this winter with our heads held high.

cheers mate, top man.

Really good article and analysis on him in the Telegraph the other day. IMO there’s a strong argument that Hales being binned off has indirectly resulted in Bairstow’s Test game falling apart.
Wish the move to 3 had worked out better, but it looks like that’s it for now.
We’re a worse side without him in the middle order in my view, for what it’s worth

I didn’t see the article.

What is the argument for Hales being binned having an adverse effect on YJB ? (genuine question)

I think he’s just reverted to the careless, loose batsman that he was in his early days ..... nowt to do with anyone else

Re the rotation policy and England voluntarily not playing the team that won the first test again in the series, I’m just wondering if the rotation applies to Root?

will he being having time off?
