No. I don't get sick pay so a few weeks off work is going to hit me in the pocket again. I could claim but it's against the NHS. We had to fight tooth and nail to get stuff that we needed for my Dad due to funding levels, so I'd feel shite taking money out when I know the NHS is strapped for funds.

Pretty sure they'll have liability insurance for that sort of thing. Or a meringue?

It's still not something I'd feel comfortable with claiming. I'd be happy with an apology from the original consultant and steps put in place so it doesn't happen to another woman.
 
Saying I'm sorry, from a legal perspective (according to different laws), may be considered an admission and hence may lead to the loss of malpractice insurance coverage. To apologise or not to apologise? :(

Never thought about it like that.

She has written a letter explaining why she only did half the operation but that just annoyed me as what she is saying is makes no sense.
