If We Get To Wembley

Since when ? They have all my history
There's nothing on their system for before 2022 and loads of people are having to take proof in they had a season ticket last season because some have been lost? To get the correct loyalty pricing.

Online yes .They have my complete history, I saw it in the ticket office when I was sorting an issue out few months back .
There's been a few hiccups for people , change of age ,part season cards and stuff but way more renewed without a problem

I agree

Imo 5 BCP should be enough to guarantee a phase 1 ticket surely?

That would mean a ST for a couple of years and home cup games, lasses game and Sheff Utd at home last NYD
Still peed off about that Sheffield utd point, only game I missed all season. Couldn't go as at a family Birthday. Risked peeing family members off by going to the game on nyd this year, and yes, obviously no point. Wouldn't even be an issue if the game was played during the day time. I've got 5 points as it happens. Still think they would consider going via the new tier system, in the unlikely event of a final.

Well they will have the semi final to use as a test of any system ;)

Yes but they aren't going to be able to use time held a season ticket to allocate Wembley tickets because the records are all over the place and incomplete for loads of people. That was my point around it.

By the time of the final it will be sorted because the renewal deadline is early April. By which time everyone will be in one of the three categories.

Aye, i'm more talking about those going on about 30 year season ticket holder etc.

However, i'm not convinced you are correct that will be fully sorted. I know of 2 fans who haven't been given the correct discount because they didn't know what it should have been.

There will be loads and loads like that. Unless you're on here or other online places, you aren't going to know you're £30 too high.

My selfish main worry is, I’ve got a young son in his third season with a handful of points. I just need him to be in phase one, cos there’s a dilemma of, do I buy mine & his sisters tickets that would be guaranteed, or potentially wait until some mythical second phase that could be a lottery to get him one?

I’m making all this shit up in my head, but I’m getting worried
Well put it this way mate , no one who sits around me goes to away games so they will all have very few points over the last 3.75 seasons

There will be thousands and thousands with 0 points
Aye. My auld NE based match day crowd have never had any interest in going to aways despite being ST holders since the Roker days. They always get Wembley tickets.

Points and away tickets bought bring no money into the SAFC kitty so I think the club will look after its ST holders first and longevity of ST holding being first again.

Speaking of Wembley, we did the Diamond package for last years play off finals at £520 a ticket, we're hoping to do similar this year if we get through, any idea what the price might look like?
I think Wembley price it on the competing teams
They certainly do for Club Wembley members on the buy back for all major matches

Eg Liverpool v City would be a mega price

Sheff U at home last season mate?

If we were lucky enough to get to the final this year, I'd like to see them do something like temporarily adding 100 BCP to everyone who got top season ticket discount for these renewals then saying anyone over x points is guaranteed a ticket so that is phase 1. That way you reward people who had season tickets for longer as well as people who don't fall into that category but have racked up some points.

Ive no idea why you'd need history from 6 years or whatever for a Fa cup final ticket anyway
Let's see what happens . We seem to do more debating prior to info being available than after these days.

For years the crack was it would be based on length of time you’ve held your season ticket, but as we didn’t get to Wembley until 2014 this didn’t come into play. This was on SAFC.com back in 2008 (I remember checking after we were promoted).

Loyalty points is the fairest way to do it, although you’re going to run the risk soon of about 4,000 fans with upward of 40 points, and then everyone else with 0-10 max if things keep going the way they are.

I think they'd use the criteria from season card sales. Those in the top category will probably be guaranteed a ticket in a first phase.

I have it on good authority that anyone moaning about away games being a closed shop won't be able to get Wembley tickets.

Do it based on the loyalty tiers from this years renewals. Everyone who has renewed will be in the right tier by then anyway.

That or a free for all for STH
