If We Get To Wembley

There will be loads miss out if we got to a final, not that I think we will.

Has to be done on loyalty points even though that would mean me and my son miss. Those who did the hard away yards on thankless Div1 games deserve it.
What you on?

This’ll come back to the club communicating approximately how many people have certain amounts of points, which is a regular topic on away threads.

Wonder how many have 0-4 points, 5-10, 10-15 etc. I’ve got members of my family that have less points than my son, despite having a season ticket for 20+ years. He’s definitely been to cup matches in the last few years too.

We could potentially play at Wembley twice. How many would go to both (if we made it), it’s very costly in a short space of time.
Bit weird having the semis there and it would be costly.

If you've got one eye on being in the final you might just want to do there and back in a day, do it as cheaply as possible.

But then there's no guarantees in football and it could be the only trip a semi finalist gets there in a while.

10 seems to have been the cut off for lowest points required this season. Wonder if they did suddenly have 30k tickets for an away to sell they'd do a first phase at that, then season ticket holders in a second phase. Like Everton.

Bit of a pisser because the boy is on 9.

Big if…

I wonder how tickets will be allocated. Previously there’s been 34,000 - 35,000 tickets for semis & 30,000 - 31,000 for the final (although Man City were given 2,500 - 3,000 more after).

We apparently have 38,000 season ticket holders this season. 31,000 - 32,000 last season. 25,000 renewed so far.

So, how would it be done? Just on loyalty points. Taking into account length of time as a season ticket holder? I dint think you could use renewals as rule. It’s inevitable some miss out.

I can’t remember who posted it now but the new pricing tiers for SCs could be a way of distributing tickets.

Handful mate although I’ve had a season ticket for more years than I can recall.

Stopped doing the away games when the lad I travelled with died in the mid noughties. My son is now 18 and I the last two years has gone from going to a few games to being obsessed with it so would like to get to away games with him but there’s no chance. Understandably to be fair.

In all seriousness, I don’t think points accrued mainly from away games is the fairest option in this instance, there’s many a loyal fan who have been going week in week out - even went and watched us play at home to Mansfield in the 2nd round of the FA Cup that should be rewarded with an FA Cup Semi or Final ticket first.

I usually do train & two nights for Wembley. I’ve already booked a premier inn & decided I’ll drive there & back for the semis, if we’re there.

I’ll take the hit & do the full weekend if we’re got to the final.

Tickets should give first to those who cannot get to away games in lower leagues
They might fancy a day out.
Then, if any left, have a ballot for long term season ticket holders.

They've only got about 3 years worth of data and even loads of last years has gone.

Aren't allocations much lower for cup finals compared to Playoff finals?

I thought its split more 3 way rather than 2 way? Home team, away team and corporate/sponsors?

Speaking of Wembley, we did the Diamond package for last years play off finals at £520 a ticket, we're hoping to do similar this year if we get through, any idea what the price might look like?
Won't be as readily available for an FA Cup Final(maybe the semi) I'd imagine.

More corporate demand from Wembley clients before dishing out to regular fans.

Any info from the agency you bought the play off final tickets through?, maybe they can give you an idea of potential pricing. Think you would expect to be starting at around £1,500 for an FA cup final though. For the forthcoming Arsenal v City Carabao final there are some hospitality seats on sale now £1'495 in the taphouse and £2,495 in Bobby Moore seats. Former colleague, mag paid £3K for 2 seats for their carabao final with United, which might have been Diamond. Seeing him in a few weeks, will ask what he did for the Liverpool final last year.

Good shout marra, we will contact them after the Port Vale game.

I hope its not going to be upwards of £1500 like!

This. I’ve had a ST from before we left Roker. I’ve got 5 BC points !

Normally we would have had a poorly attended 3rd round tie that could have been used as a way to set a phase 1

I assume any potential home QF would sell out so can't use that

Has to be the BCP system and I look forward to the arguments if that happens unless they can create a phase 1 based on length of ST held

My selfish main worry is, I’ve got a young son in his third season with a handful of points. I just need him to be in phase one, cos there’s a dilemma of, do I buy mine & his sisters tickets that would be guaranteed, or potentially wait until some mythical second phase that could be a lottery to get him one?

I’m making all this shit up in my head, but I’m getting worried
I'm in the same boat. I have 66 points and my lad has 9. He's a big lad and will be 16 so should be ok in the ground on his own but IF it does happen i'll like us to be together watching it.
