I'm not sure I'd agree with the person who gets the ticket getting a point mind. Someone with a lot of points could forward their ticket 5 times or whatever to a mate and that could boost the mate into phase 1, when really they should be in phase 2 with a lot of others. Feels like people could basically get a leg up just because they know someone with high points. Personally I think points should only be given to an eligible fan who attends. If they pass it on, the person they give it to gets the benefit of being able to attend a game they otherwise wouldn't and that's enough of a bonus for them. If they did that (you can pass it on, but no one gets a point) then they could in theory make it unlimited because anyone doing it too often would end up losing their place in phase 1.Should be unlimited , but the person you forward it on to gets the point
It would address the issue of people being punished for unexpectedly not being able to attend, without leaving an empty seat. Any touts wouldn't do it because they'd swiftly end up unable to buy tickets. People just looking to inflate their points so they can pick and choose what games they go to wouldn't do it because they'd drop out of phase 1 eventually. No one gets artificially boosted up a phase due to their connections. No seats go empty. That seems a pretty fair way of doing it. But certainly they need something in place so that people aren't at risk of losing all their points just because one time they give a ticket to a friend when they find they can't go
