Aye so a think it’s just the bog standard usual for every away ground then if tickets don’t workDoesn't mention needing id
It’s not mentioned I’d it stated it tickets go red go to ticket office, that’s been the norm for yearsSo people are saying these are Premier League rules, if they apply for Everton, does that mean that they aren’t? As obviously it’s an FA Cup game
But equally the people who travel dedicate a lot of time and money to the club, did so throughout the dark days in most cases, and they need to be treated with absolute respect. T
The situation they had you in was shite mind, totally shocking on ya.this is the big point for me. and its no surprise as the Ticket Office have treated the fans like shite for years.
I've eventually got my loyalty point back that they deducted from me for 'non attendance' at Brighton, despite leaving home at 5am and missing the first 10 minutes due to them not sending any staff down and the email being in my junk folder. they were quick off the mark to send me a snotty email a day later about not attending and revoking my LP, i replied to them immediately with a photo of my paper ticket and an explanation, and i've been totally blanked. no response, no apology, no communication, absolutely nothing.
fortunately the safety officer Ashley has a sense of respect and has sorted it for me, for which i'm very grateful, but i don't think that is her job.
their communication is absolutely shite, its worse than zero communication, as they actually contradict themselves all the time. i honestly think they see fans who want to go to games as the enemy who need to be inconvenienced to the point that they stop trying to buy tickets

People big up many of the staff I’ve had no dealings with Ashley but they seem on the ball
However ticket office staff and Chris waters has been poor communication over the last few seasons.
They deleted our season tickets championship season and I had someone sitting in my (paid) seats in the play off semi final and I got not even a sorry for themi mean what is the point in the askSAFC thing?
i put in my query about my loyalty point being wrongly taken off me on 27th December. i've had zero response from it, nothing. yet my loyalty point went back on today (thanks to ashley)
could they not just send me a one line email saying 'sorry for the misunderstanding, your loyalty point has been put back on'
they can see from my purchase history i've barely missed an away game for years, and haven't missed a single one this season. does that not grant me rights to a tiny little bit of respect from the club?
shortish fella with grey silver hair? late 60s ?
Aye lived up your way
This is not linked to ID checks and is any ‘general’ red light
- Any ‘Red Lights’ at the turnstiles and you will be directed to the Away Ticket Office.
Taking from the Email we have got today about Everton away. It looks like they won’t be pre warning anymore about ID checks
Correctw

I wouldn't go as far as your last sentence but I genuinely think they aren't bothered about trying to make dealings with the ticket office for away games as easy as possible for fans. And the reason why is that they make minimal money for them, it only impacts a very small percentage of fans and they know the tickets will go regardless.this is the big point for me. and its no surprise as the Ticket Office have treated the fans like shite for years.

If David Bruce really wanted to sort it out then he could but it doesn't have a big enough public reach for him.
Really think the communication has been poor here mind. I said earlier that I think it's fair enough to make sure the right people are attending, but it's just really poor in terms of communication.
They should clearly state what they're doing (people didn't know if it was just a man city thing initially), why they're doing it (what is the problem, do they have any ideas/ estimates about how widespread it is), what people need in terms of ID and how they'll be notified. I don't think it's right that you could travel to an away ground and, with no notification, find you need ID (that you might not normally carry, depending on what they accept) and have to go to the ticket office. You might be getting to the ground right before kick off if you think you can just get straight in
Once they've done checks for a few weeks, they should communicate again to say what the results are, is it really a widespread issue or are 99% of the tickets in the right hands? To do it with no communication, then seemingly change the goalposts (from an email before the game, that people might have missed because they didn't communicate that they'd send them, to no notification at all), just doesn't seem right.
We'll have people on relatively high points missing out at the minute so of course it's right to make sure those with the tickets are those who have put the miles in (a few seemed to suggest the crowd at spurs was different to normal and there comments etc about it being a rare away game). But equally the people who travel dedicate a lot of time and money to the club, did so throughout the dark days in most cases, and they need to be treated with absolute respect. This seems to miss the mark imo
It's not the ID checks I'm referring to, it's the general attitude and approach that the ticket office have to fans. It's always harder than it needs to be and despite being told of the issues many times, the improvements are minimal.I’m not sure they’d bother with ID checks etc. if they were only motivated by money- at the end of the day, as long as the ticket is sold, there is no financial implication.
Everyone’s worst nightmare turning up to an event and having red flash at the turnstiles and not letting you in when you have a genuine ticket. A huge amount of our fans arrive fairly late and due to the huge crowds are likely to miss the kick off, see Burnley away this year for example .then being told to the ticket office when they have a legit ticket. If you’ve manually been selected you can prepare to arrive early, not to wait until scanning your ticket to be then treat like a anyone thinking this is acceptable behaviour is a wankerWhy is it disgraceful? They've given 3 + days notice
Totally agree, to not send out advance warning is poor form.Everyone’s worst nightmare turning up to an event and having red flash at the turnstiles and not letting you in when you have a genuine ticket. No issues with the checks at all just how they are being administered. A simple text a couple of days before shouldn’t be an issue and as you say help make sure you can account for it in your plans.
