ID checks for away tickets

Looks like you've probs summed your actually self up in 3 words.

"Who the hell doesn't have any form of ID"

Me. Im down City tomorrow and wont have any ID on me.
Nor will i carry any as I dont need too.

End of
So you wouldn't take ID either if you got the email and you'd risk not getting in?

So you don't have any debit/credit cards in your wallet or on your phone? Do you have email on your phone that would show who are? How about an SAFC season ticket that is required to even buy an away ticket?

No e mail for me - but if my bro (who I'm meeting in Manchester) has had one, he's knackered...He left for the match early pm today as he's at a gig in Holmefirth tonight, then staying overnight at Huddersfield.

Bit of a flawed system like...
Does he not have ID?

If he does then he'll be grand either way.

Haven't read the full thread but I know there will be a few people in the same boat as me.

I work away half the year so my home season ticket is shared with my wife and she takes the kids when I'm away with work. This was confirmed as being ok by the club when they started bringing in the digital season tickets a few years ago and the reason we have physical season cards.
When it comes to away games we do exactly the same thing and she takes them when I'm at work but obviously the ticket is in my name.
The next away she will take them to will be Spurs so if we get the ID check on that game I'm guessing by rights she will be refused entry even though SAFC are happy with the arrangement for our season ticket?

I get that but then it makes it unfair for those of us who can’t use the loyalty system
Why can’t you use it? Have they banned you or something
One of my mates has been to every away game this season but is giving tomorrow a miss, 2 away games in the space of a few days is expensive for a lot of people in the month of December.
Fair play but the lad must have spent some coin to get to the points he has going to some pointless matches. But I do get there must be the odd one
Is my thoughts, mate. I get up at like 4am to go to West Brom away last season, but now don't want to go to City away... Ha.

However for the "Closed shop brigade" this does not fit in with their thought process.....
Aye it’s nuts. I’m not even against the odd id check but probably needs to be sorted better. A text rather than an email would be a good start for one

Unfortunately when you've got sold out stadiums and sold out season tickets, they aren't going to award high demand away tickets to a non season ticket holder who can't attend regularly.

Thats not fair either.

So there has to be another way to make it fair for everyone

It also seems like a really odd game to start doing it, I mean who has collected enough points the last few years to then not go to city away
Me, I bought my Liverpool ticket and managed to miss the City sale. F*!K knows how I managed that. Anyway back on track, Brighton and Spurs tickets purchased, just waiting for Brentford next.

They do this for every single away game. Every person has to go to a collection point and sign in before they can collect their ticket.

I can see both sides of the argument- it's a pain in the arse to take time out of your day and go to collect a ticket. But equally I can see the point where people apply for tickets and don't use them and stay top.of the queue.
