How long can Rafa last?

I wonder if it’ll still be a truly horrific team he was forced to put together if they finish 10th.
Seriously, can’t begin to describe that post in full detail

I've been posting, on here, for years and can't recall a post like it.

If we're all being whooshed it's the cleverest, and most subtle, set up and I take my hat off to him.

Benitez is immune from any blame at all costs then? f***ing hell I've heard it all now

Bobby Robson took pelters when he had them in the top 6 but King Rafa is blameless for relegating them twice in three seasons

We've truly entered into uncharted territory here, the world's gone mad ..... it's the Twilight Zone.

If Coleman isn’t allowed to sign Bale, De Gea, Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, Marcello and Alderwield and we go down...well then you’ll can’t blame him tbh.

Even when he's gone the next managers will have the spirit of Rafa flowing through them when playing well.

I had a lad at work say that Rafa was the jewel in their crown.... f***ing hell man

Well it must be a crown with 1 jewel ..... according to the SMB Mags the owner won't allow Benitez to spend and the team is truly horrific.

So who are the other priceless gems ...... the strikers who can't score or the defenders who can't defend?

I think he's a very good manager, and way better than we could ever have expected to get, certainly if he was to leave we'd be back on the cycle of the likes Souness, Roeder, Pardew, McClaren, Allardyce, Kinnear.
He's not infallible by any means. But he's better than we would be likely to get again for a very long time. His previous clubs have been Real Madrid, Napoli, Chelsea, Inter,Liverpool, Valencia. Whether or not he's been lucky, a success or failure at those clubs, he's obviously got something about him to keep getting jobs at top European clubs. For him to be at a mainly bottom half premier league time like Newcastle feels like a lottery win compared to what we've had or what we could expect. I can understand the hysteria that comes with him being here, but perspective is needed from some of our fans. He's not gonna win the league here, probably won't win a cup, but he can do pretty well.

The same fans who hold him up as a world class manager who can walk on water are the same ones who cry out for Mitrovic and moan about one up front or about being too defensive, completely contradicting their idolizing of Rafa. In Rafa we trust, but question his tactics and moan about the players selected.
The same divvies who have major meltdowns on Twitter because we don't thrash the likes of Bournemouth at home.

Good post -agree

Depends what happens in January , if Ashley stays and we don’t get any funds then relegation beckons and I won’t blame Benitez for that, look at the state of that team it’s truly horrific and nobody can tell me it’s anything like the team Benítez would have put together, had he not been forced to scrape the barrel at the bottom of the market.
:eek::eek::lol::lol:

Where he failed hes living off past glory’s he’s nothing more than a modern day Sven now it’s not as if big clubs are braying down the door to offer him jobs now nor will they there’s plenty of the likes or better younger managers about

Best post on this thread, a decent mag that talks sense here have a like mate
Says a mag with a Sunderland username what an cock snogger

Knowing nods and winks iirc.

I have to admit to posting on these threads to string them along and see how they'll amuse us next, it's like a never ending gift.

One of the funny things, at the moment, is this 'KingMackem' specimen.

As you know any Sunderland supporter, pretending to be something they're not, is instantly pulled to pieces by other Sunderland supporters.

Yet the Mags will go along with absolutely anything, no matter how stupid.

They never pull each other up or have the slightest disagreement ...... just one big happy Geordie Nation

It's been said thousands of times before, they really are a different breed. I've lived outside the area on a couple of occasions and never come across anyone like them. Not just saying it because they are our rivals etc.I like watching and listening to them, its like they occupy another dimension.I saw a poster at a metro station the other week advertising Geordie The Musical, one can only imagine what that would be like.

I have just been reading an article where it states that any takeover this end of year would be “fanciful “ to say the least due to the uncertainty of their premiership tenure. Add that to the fact that Ashley seems loathe to put more money in and the situation becomes very interesting indeed

It's that innate ability to believe they're appearing witty and eloquent, while actually making normal people cringe, that gets me every time.

Then they gaze at you, in total bewilderment, when you try to explain .... 'why naa man, peepul think wa great'
