House Part Exchange - New Build

We had our place valued, then looked into the p/x route.
Housebuilder sent 3 valuers and offered £30k less than the original estate agent valued.
Eventually sold for £20k more than they offered us.

Ours isnt far off complete but they originally said April-May. That has now changed June-July which is right on stamp duty time. Would mean an extra 7.5K ish. Though we might be able to renegotiate maybe?
Hopefully it will be fine but im not too hopeful. Things tend to slip.

I'd be trying to to negotiate them paying the stamp duty if it they don't make the deadline now marra.

They offered to pay £1000 towards our solicitors fees only for Halifax the mortgage lender to say they weren't happy with that a few days before completion so we had to scrape together another grand and were instead given a fridge and a dishwasher that we didn't need. :lol:

We hired a van and moved everything ourselves. Completely underestimated the amount of shite we had and trips we would have to make. We should have got a skip the week before we moved as half the stuff we brought was put in the garage the day we moved and hasn't moved for the five years since. It is mental the amount of shite you collect over the years.

Yep and we are horrific for it. The Mrs is really bad for it. She gets sentimental about daft things that we never ever use on the off chance we might. Shes literally got clothes she hasnt touched since about 2008

Aye our lass has loads of old clothes. Just incase she ever manages to get back down to her pre baby weight. Can't tell her I am just as likely to get a six pack than that ever happening. :lol:
