Ramipril caused me to have a cough from hell. Barely slept in 2 weeks. Of course it was when I was on holiday, no escape from it the missus was demented. I think the whole plane on the return flight thought I had covid.

Suppressant worked but as I soon as I stopped the cough returned. Stopped the ramipril, cough disappeared.

I’m on an alternative to Ramipril now due to have a cough that was disturbing my sleep.

I'm on rampiril and atorvastatin with no side effects at all but have noticed the rampiril cough being quite frequent.

As previously said, there are many options for these meds so just get back to your GP if you are not happy and they'll tweak them.
