During his drinking days, Barry Humphries used to get a jar of sandwich spread and a spoon and pretended to vomit into a bag. He would then secretly fill the bag with sandwich spread and eat it, pretending that he was eating his own vomit with his spoon.

Not according to Clive James, tho some sources claim it's a Russian salad

Can't quote it as on phone.

Anyway, we digress. It's not the Heinz sarnie spread of which Becs refers to.

Mate of mine in the RN would swear by a jam, peanut butter & sandwich spread sandwich as a cure for seasickness. Reckoned if he could keep that down he'd be alright.

What's the SMB's verdict on it? Food of the gods or food for scratters?

Just bought some for the first time in years and I'm enjoying my sarnie

Can it be that it was all so simple then.
Or has time rewritten every line.
If we had the chance to do it all again, tell me, would we, could we ?

Used to have it all the time at school. Hated it then.

Don't like any synthetic food that comes from a jar, tin or packet.
