Heart wrenching scenes in movies

In Field of Dreams when Kevin Costner plays baseball with his dad - always gets me as my dad died when I was young so it is a most poignant scene
When I was waiting for confirmation of my knee replacement about 12 years ago, the surgeon/specialist asked me why I wanted the knee replacing so early (I was 43 at the time and it was utterly shot to bits) as I would most likely need the replacement replacing at some point in the future.

I told him I wanted to play cricket in the same team as my son the same way I did with my Dad, and how much it meant to me at the time, and how much I hoped it would mean to my lad, to be able to do that.

Got a new knee 6 months later and about 18 months after that me and the boy walked onto the pitch together, not just as Father and son, but as teammates. One of the proudest days of my life.

Bit obscure fella.

Oh a wee Literary joke. Funny and cultured at the same time.

See that is a heart wrenching scene in an SMB thread. If that was on the telly I would have a tear in my eye. Might have one now....only saying.

A lovely story nevertheless

Unforgettable Korean film about a group of school friends. [Spoilers] The main female character dies and leaves a cassette tape behind. Years later, one of the friends, a radio presenter, recieves the tape and plays it on the radio. It's the girl talking about all the great times they had as kids. All the old friends hear it and start crying, the violins start playing, I was fkn gone like

The end of Das boot

After all there suffering and toil to get home, it was all very pointless for most of them.

Great metaphor for war in general.

Even though its almost fictional, the end of Memphis Belle always gets me too
