There was worse than Gt Horton Road. If Carlsberg could have done shitholes it would have looked like Lumb Lane area. During winter of discontent the bin men went on strike and rubbish piled up, I couldn’t tell the difference tbh.
As an aside the Ripper was on the go and a student from the house opposite us was pulled in for questioning as he sounded like Wearside Jack
 
You can't pick and choose which laws to obey and which laws not to.
What council should have done is in my humble opinion , after initial fines of 1k and 2k respectively that hadn't been paid and was still trading, close her place down ( not sure if they could do that and stand to be corrected) . Issuing further larger fines were going to have no effect and just become farcical.

Hospital COVID wards almost certainly present a higher risk of transmission than any other setting. Should we close those wards but keep the open the barbers? Obviously not.

Sometimes stupidity comes with a price. If she has any sense, which at this stage is somewhat debatable, she will hitch her wagon to one of the more successful statue defending covidiots and try to get some fundraising going to cover the costs.

But also mentioned Hairdressers and Barbours remained open in tier 3 unlike a pub who could not supply a substantial meal.... but plenty on here were objecting about that.

Hi. Even if the experience of a single 27 year old is representative of the whole population*, what about all the babies who will die because their malnourished mothers can neither produce milk nor buy formula? What about the pregnant women who miscarry because their bodies cannot sustain the pregnancy? What about the elderly, who cannot afford to lose muscle-mass because they will never get it back, even if they survive? What about all the many and varied diseases caused by a lack of micronutrients, not calorie deficiency? Etc, etc, etc.

"But Bobby Sands" is not a satisfactory answer to those questions. It is not even a satisfactory answer to "But what about the 27 year old non-obese men in the prime of their life?" because starvation has catastrophic effects long before death.

You didn't provide evidence to support the proposition that hairdressers are a lower risk than going shopping. Do you intend to?

That list isn't where someone caught covid it's where they had been in the week leading up to a positive result and also the second lockdown kicked in just a few days into the period quoted so of course the numbers are going to be low in those settings.

That is the locations in which people who tested positive had visited in the time they were asymptomatic and potentially contagious and not the environment in which transmission occurred. Stop trying to conflate two scenarios into your very narrow viewpoint
