Just got out of the shower and thought there was a little scab on the bottom of my leg, pulled it off and the little bugger started walking round my hand. We've been to Arran and did a bit of walking but left on Saturday, I think it's been there since at least Friday. Am I going to die?

you have to make sure got it all out, problem is if there's any of it left , if its alive and walking round hand then looks a clean extraction, so should be ok.

Had similar experience two weeks ago in Ayrshire. Used tweezers to get tick out of the dog but then lost it. Found it next day chowing on my wrist.

used tweezers again and then flattened the bassa.

the site of the bite isn’t healed yet so booked in for amputation on Thursday.

Generally not a lot to be worried about in the uk. Any signs of a bullseye like mark, get in immediate contact with your gp.

Keep eye on your temp. over next couple of weeks. Lyme Disease.

The eldest had a bite from one whilst out camping with mates, swelled a bit so docs gave him 3 wks worth of antibiotics just incase of Lyme disease
Can be nasty so best keep eye on it

I had the same a few weeks ago, the bite mark turned into the ‘bullseye’ so ended up on antibiotics for 3 weeks. Keep an eye on it
