Haaland alleged wage

-The fan ownership couldn’t compete with the local millionaire
-The local millionaire couldn’t compete with the multi millionaire, who couldn’t compete with the billionaire
-The billionaire couldn’t compete with the oil state.

At which point did it become unfair or not right?

The game is fucked, not the owners.

If you want change and fair play, then it’s the FA and their rules.
Which oil state owned clubs just blatantly abuse.

I just think football is a bit of a farce when you have oil rich nation states just buying the best. And whilst what you point out is right I think things have maybe crossed a line when nation states are buying clubs to launder their image.

Honestly don’t think it’s the oil states issue mate. It’s poor governance in football.

Plenty of clubs are are abusing the system through financial loopholes.

Just becomes more and more apparent with larger sums involved

Not advocating it btw

Ah thats alright then. State owned clubs are great. Doesn't matter if they're blatantly breaking the rules and causing hyper inflation in football which will screw many a club. And brilliant all that saudi cash being spent on the mags too.

These clubs are causing hyper inflation? Have you not heard of something called Supply and Demand?

True story - back in the '50s one of my uncles was offered a contract with Leeds United.

He turned it down as the wages offered were less than his combined earnings from the shipyards plus his 'wages' for playing for Blackhall Colliery on a weekend.

How times have changed.
