It'll make no difference who we bring in, nothing ever changes. From Sbragia to O Neill we've always been shit but I'd rather have a gaffer who wants to be at SAFC and make a fist of it than a gaffer who'll shift blame and keep his name clean with an eye on his next move

This is the first thing that came to mind when I read the OP, so I wouldn't be surprised if he said it. He was talking us down back then (miracle comments etc with no positive at the end such as 'we're going to work hard in training and give it our best'...just glum miserable shite. Then we get a bit of luck and the lads get a bit of confidence and he milks it for every last drop. I've said this on other threads when we've been doing well, so not a knee jerk negative reaction.
 
Must admit, I'm generally quite shocked with Poyets comments. It's almost like he's attempting to totally distance himself from the result.

From what I saw today, the problem is the same that's it's been for a good few seasons now - a complete lack of mental strength in the team. It's always 1 step forward, two back and sadly we will probably see another hammering this season.

I do feel we will see a reaction on Saturday, but it will be back to square one when we visit Palace in a couple of weeks. They will bully us, score early and we will be lucky to have a shot on target.

Just wanted to make sure, before asking @Nelson! if he has an opinion on it now that it's shown that the op is not lying and our fans are not "choosing to believe the worst".

I think it's an appalling comment to make personally. He's either in this with us or he can fuck off. How can he expect the players to be professional and take responsibility on the pitch when he can't do it himself off the pitch?

You don't have to be a f***ing clairvoyant to work out he's not exactly chuffed with the structure. But then, why did he join in that case? We had a DoF this time last year, he was obviously amenable to giving up at least some power to sign players.

Anyway, it's irrelevant - even if he is chippy about it, sort it out behind closed doors. The fucker must be an absolute nightmare employee.
 
Ironic the amount having a go at Fishpaste for daring to criticise Poyet a week or so ago and now jumping on the Poyet out bandwagon.
