Just looked and all but two geese have left the pond outside of ours. Shame as it was lovely seeing them circle around of an evening.

Couple of weeks there will be thousands on the lake as the ice pens them into a small area of open water then they all head south,loads around flying in skeins at the minute,once the lakes,ponds and rivers totally freeze that’s it till spring.

That's another thing about retirement mate, a nice bottle of bulls blood and a Captain Morgan's for a night cap, and I'll sleep like a baby, doesn't matter what time I get up, but the body clock will go off about 5 .30. Sometimes I just lay there enjoying the heat and wait until it gets light, or I might have a bit read.
