Watched the first 4 episodes last night and thought it was very good and looking forward to finishing the series over the weekend.

Last version I’m aware of is Ripley Underground, that was 2005, not exactly recent?

If you mean the Jude Law movie, that was 1999, even further back.

We’re up to Episode 4 and loving it. Andrew Scott is a very understated Tom Ripley.

Tbh, I’d be happy watching it purely for the Italian backdrops and the wonderful b and w cinemaphotography, they’re amazing.

I do find Scott’s naff hair transplant distracting, mind.

Liked Kin but prefer Love/Hate now. Almost at end of series 4. Starts quite slowly in first series but really gets going from 2nd.

Bands have been releasing cover tracks since the dawn of time.

With TV, I suppose it is less of a risk to remake something which has been popular before rather than going for a totally new work.

Watched the first episode of Ripley last night. Very art-house and slow moving so probably something best enjoyed one episode at a time rather than in a day-long binge-watch.
