Whilst I agree with you, to be fair they sold off all the good ones. :lol:
 
Nowt wrong with Gooch at this level , there isn't a single div 1 , manager that wouldn't jump at the chance of signing him if they had money. Always takes him a few games to get going but he still a certain starter every game for us. Love him me.

He had a few bad games when the whole team was struggling and people decided to make him a "boo boy". He's never been as bad as people made out.

Although obviously not as bad as the extreme views, there's no smoke without fire. When the whole team struggles Gooch struggles, but when the team dominates he can look alright, or in other words, when there's questions asked of him he has no answers. When we're playing duck eggs like yesterday he can be effective like the other attacking players.

So just like every other player, then? When the whole team struggles, Gooch gets singled out for struggling.

I could have worded that better. What I meant was in a poor team performance Gooch is generally rank, you don't get games where we were a bit shit but Gooch was great. He can shine when he's not tested, but doesn't when he is.
 
We shouldn't be moving him from left wing, MOM performances both times he's played out there recently. That's after two years of pretty abject performances.
