Well thanks for the informed argument there ‘mate’ however he was directly in front of me for the second half. He worked hard but on 3 seperate occasions he stood in their area and looked devoid of any idea what to do with the ball.
He works hard, and has very good games, he wasnt as good as those games last night i felt. Possibly overshadowed by the rest as they were very decisive in their crossing and finishing. Not digging the lad out as we played great, but his deficiencies were still there. Hes more frustrating than anything else as he does the hard graft, then seems a little lost. I still like him and think he could finally break that tendency to struggle with that final ball.

aye talking shite, he played really well.
 
He worked hard last night, credit for that.

He did his usual couple of blunders in defence that could have cost goals but to be fair he isn't a defender.

The penalty decision could have gone the other way but I think if I was a referee in this league and I watched a lot of games I would want to be very sure before awarding Gooch a penalty. He is one of those players who believes if he can get the contact he is looking for he is "entitled" to go down and some refs just don't subscribe to that idea.

All in all one of his better games. 7/10
